This team member must have experience selling audio/visual or sophisticated technology solutions to the academic marketplace as well, be a team player and self-starter.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the SVP of Sales, you will prospect and develop new business.
Job Description:
Your specific responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
  • Drive sales revenue and market share by managing a vertical market to achieve quota
  • Contacting current clients as well as prospect for new clients through cold calling, tradeshows and networking
  • Work with clients to understand and identify their needs and objectives
  • Propose, present and demonstrate solutions for prospective clients and projects
  • Mastering product knowledge
  • Managing a prospect database
  • Develop solid relationships with customers and strategic vendors
  • Ability to navigate bidding processes
  • Be able to identify and convey Alpha Video’s value to key decision makers within an organization
  • Able to develop strategic relationships to help sell solutions, and enhance market penetration
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Strong investigative and listening skills, with above average problem-solving ability
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Strong aptitude for technology and technology projects
  • Good team player
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent customer skills and consultative sales approach
  • 3+ years business-to-business outside sales experience selling technology to the (preferably in the Visual Communications Industry)
  • Ability to quickly identify an opportunity and have the tenacity to follow through to sales closure
  • Proven track record of success in a flexible and highly technical environment
  • Advanced selling and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business development, account management, and relationship building skills
  • Experience with CRM
