The Digital Signage Technical Analyst is responsible for the installation, configuration, delivery, testing and training of the  digital signage application for a variety of customers. Configurations of servers, web services (both VM and physical) digital signage product include message and workflow creation, broadcast content delivery, network work troubleshooting, and integration with third party applications. The Digital Signage Technical Analyst is an important part of the project team who serves in a consultative role with customers from the perspective of digital signage solution integration and use.
 
The Digital Signage Technical Analyst consistently reports task status and effort to Project Managers and works with other  team members to identify delivering digital signage solutions to customers in an efficient and high quality manner. The Digital Signage Technical Analyst must have excellent customer facing skills, with the ability to think on their feet and suggest solutions that will meet customer requirements. The Digital Signage Technical Analyst lends ideas to  team members for project delivery process improvements and  product enhancements.
 
Job Duties:
    Supply consultative approach to customer interactions with regard to how  digital signage solutions will address customer’s requirements.
    Develop knowledge of  software products and new system updates, as they become available.
    Provide written or oral updates to Project Managers regarding the status of project deliverables as needed.
    Implement scopes of work to meet pre-architected customized system specifications on a customer job site.
    Research new products and remain current on emergent technology solutions that both serve as, and complement digital signage.
    Remain current on digital signage system installation techniques and software loads, and apply those to customer implementations.
    Act as a contact point between customer, project management and technical resources while on a job site.
    Able to identify, resolve and communicate the resolution to issues with installation processes and procedures.
    Serve as a technical resource at internal and external implementation meetings and conference calls.
    Serve as an active participant in internal meetings, including change control.
    When available, supply overflow capacity to Customer Support team for answering customer requests and supplying maintenance.
    Contribute to internal and external FAQ articles.
    Validate installation processes for proprietary software products.
    Assist in the continuous improvement of the development, implementation and maintenance of installation policy and procedures.
    Other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate.
Job Requirements:
    Up to 75% travel, sometimes on a last-minute basis
    Possible International Travel
 
Qualifications:
    5+ years of experience working in the technology space.
    2 to 5 years customer facing experience in a technical consulting or services integration role delivering
Digital Signage and/or IPTV solutions to end customers.
    Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent experience.
    Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to describe project and product deliverables in a manner that is understandable to both customers and project team members.
    Strong troubleshooting background with demonstrated track record of rapid resolution to issues.
    Experience configuring and maintaining web based applications using any of the following: IIS, .Net Framework, Apache, JAVA J2EE, HTML, JS, XSD, XML, XSLT.
    Exceptional time management skills.
    Exceptional customer service skills.
    Competent user of Microsoft Office applications including using Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio.
    Competent reader of Microsoft Project.
    Experience with enterprise content management software.
    Experience in content management, IP based content delivery and optimization.
    Experience with structured cabling.
    Some experience in video and audio codecs and formats, encoding, transcoding and web services.
    Expertise in Windows System Administration.
    Knowledge of Network Administration concepts.
    Knowledge of Database Administration concepts.
    Understanding of LCD display specifications, and performance metrics for different display hardware types.
    Equipment rack elevation design and specification knowledge.
